How does ShopitUPchic.com's Rental Closet work? |
| |
At ShopitUPchic.com, we make it simple for you to rent new styles so that you can be fashionable for any occasion. First, decide if you would like to become a member of ShopitUPchic.com, and then you can choose from three membership levels. Browse our exciting collections, and click the borrow button on the items you'd like to rent. When you're ready for something new, just return the item(s), and then, based on your membership level, you can continue to rent more of a certain number of pieces. Best of all, if you’ve fallen in love with an item, you can "buy" it from us! We'll gladly sell you any item you're renting. We will evaluate the accessory's age, condition and how easy it will be to replace. Afterward, we will let you know if the item is available for purchase and, if appropriate, a price. If you decide to make a purchase, we'll bill the credit card we have on file, and the item is for you to keep. Please email us at info@shopitupchic.com, if you wish to complete such a transaction.
Step 1...You must pick a membership. There is no yearly contract required just some membership dues. You may cancel at anytime. Once you pick a membership you must sign a waiver agreeing to the terms of shipping, as well as fees arising from lateness of return, damage and theft. To cancel or change your membership, please email us at info@shopitupchic.com.
Step 2…Select the items you would like to rent. You can rent only the allotted number of items within your membership category. Remember you can always change membership levels. To do so, please email us at info@shopitupchic.com.
Step 3…Return the items before their due date; no cleaning is needed. Just remember to avoid late charges, as items must be rented on time. An email will go out to notify you of each rented item’s due date. Additionally, although the items do not need to be cleaned, please treat them respectfully. Charges could occur if items are found to be damaged. |

Do I need to clean the clothes before or after? |
| |
No, there is no need to launder your clothing before or after you wear them. ShopitUPchic.com prepares each garment for you in advance by laundering it in eco-friendly, dye- and fragrance-free laundry detergent, and professionally steaming it. We seal your clothes in a poly-bag, so it's ready to wear once you receive it in the mail. Although we don't recommend laundering the garments at home, if you choose to launder them between wears, please see the laundry care instructions on the label of each garment; as many of our clothes are only washed by hand or cannot be put in the dryer. |

What if I accidentally stain, damage or lose one of your garments? |

We understand that accidents can happen time to time, but we do ask that all of our members treat our garments, imagining as if they had borrowed the item(s) in question had been borrowed from their best friends. If something were to happen to the garment(s), such as becoming stained or completely ruined garment beyond repair, we will have to charge your account for the replacement value of the item. |

What if the items are late? |

If the items are not return by its due date late fees will accrue daily. Based on your membership level you are allowed a certain number of days to retain borrowed items. After the due date, however, daily charges will be made to your credit per item up to five business days. After five business days have passed, ShopitUPchic.com will charge your credit card the current retail value of the item(s). If you know you are going to be late by a day or two and this is your first time being late, please email us at info@shopitupchic.com, and we can assess your case. We want to make our customers happy! |

How do I cancel a membership? |

If you decide to cancel your membership, you can go into your account. At the bottom of the page, there will be a "Cancel Membership" Button. Click on that, and we will receive a notification through our email at info@shopitupchic.com. Then, we will process your cancellation as soon as it is received. The cancellation will be effective the following month. All items must be returned before your membership may be completely canceled. |
